What does the future of sustainable pig farming look like – webinar watch again
The question “What does the future of sustainable pig farming look like?“, is huge and one which we could only scratch the surface of, at our recent three-hour webinar.
At the start of the event David Houghton, our Technical Director introducing the event suggested that it’s important to find answers and solutions to some of the difficult questions and how we can move towards a more sustainable future.
In helping us to consider sustainable pig farming we gathered together specialists from industry, academia and an NGO, who gave us some excellent presentations – which you can watch again below
- Dan Crossley: Executive Director, Food Ethics Council
- Groupo Jorge – Spain
- Professor Lisa Collins: Head of School of Biology – University of Leeds and Director of National Pig Centre
- Nic Sheen: Chief Technology Officer – Authenticate
We ran a panel discussion (1:16;30) , headed up by our excellent host Lyndsay Chapman (CEO of CIELivestock), which answered some of the questions that came in during the event, plus others which were put to the speakers. During our panel discussion we were also joined by Simon Davis, Agrifood Leader at sustainability consultancy Anthesis Group.
To view the panel discussion, head to 1:16:30 where it begins.
