We were delighted that Deli Solutions, our olive and antipasti manufacturing site in Clitheroe, was named Highly Commended in the ‘Site Team of the Year’ category at last night’s Food Manufacture Excellence Awards. At a glittering ceremony in London, we were presented with our commendation by Ana Matronic.

Producing over 40 million units of olives and antipasti every year, the site has worked devised a number of initiatives to reduce food giveaway across the plant. It has truly been a team effort involving approx. across all disciplines working together.

Our submission for the category highlighted how each team identified initiatives, which have achieved this reduction – the result of which has been to reinvest in new processes and equipment. Ideas and initiatives range from the Engineering team re-designing tooling to become more efficient, to a more streamlined Goods-In process. to the Accounts team monitoring stock movement and finished goods levels through their comprehensive reporting.
