Field to fork traceability

We work hand-in-hand with over 600 olive growers and 500 livestock farms across Spain, Italy and Greece.

Our database of customers’ ring-fenced farms means control of origin and the ability to drill down and retrieve information, about any part of the supply chain, in real time.

We efficiently manage risks in complex supply chains from agriculture to primary processing, manufacturing, logistics, distribution and finally store.

We first mapped our sourcing through production partners, subsequently our raw material suppliers and now our focus is for our transport and storage service providers. We provide regular updates for key customers and are working with a number of groups (as below), to tackle transport and logistics. Our continued collaboration with a number of key bodies and groups ensures we are best placed for this.

Being an AB member of SEDEX – enables us to assess risk and the audit frequency of any new production partners. We regularly attend stakeholder forums, collaborating with key members. Involvement in working groups ensures we are extremely well-placed to understand and tackle issues in relation to ethical sourcing.

Food waste reduction

We are part of a group of large food businesses that has committed to reduce food waste across our UK operations by 50% by 2030. As part of this project we will adopt the approach of measure, target and act on key areas across our own operations and publicly report on progress.  Read more about the WRAP roadmap here

Plastic Reduction

We have made significant advances both in the inclusion of recyclable material in our packaging and the recyclability of our packaging. However, in order to align our work streams and meet the targets our customers have set, we have a cross-functional team to progress this key area.
